Our Story
A Culinary Career That Came Home
Chef Ryan’s 30-year culinary career has taken him around the world—from Portugal and Hawaii to downtown Vancouver and, most recently, the world-famous Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Ryan returned to his hometown of Campbell River to open his first restaurant, Mattone Italian Kitchen, with his wife Katrina and their children, Liam and Sofia. He now brings that world of knowledge home and shares his lifelong passion for the culinary arts with every guest.
